Homework and Overalls

Welcome back after the Easter break! We're all ready and raring to go with a new term and we've had a great first week back, investigating rocks, starting adventure stories, and solving money problems. Hopefully some more sunshine will come our way soon and Summer term will live up to its name.

As the class have all worked so hard over the last few weeks, I thought it would be unfair to set them more work over the holidays. As a result, the homework sheet mentioned in a previous post (and the newsletter) has not been handed out.

I Am

As part of our PSHE work on individuality and the importance of being unique, the class completed a sheet of sentence openers, such as 'I am...', 'I feel...', and 'I wonder...'. Their responses were so thought-provoking and insightful that I picked one from each sheet and created a class poem. Class 3 should all be very proud of their contributions to this piece!

Spring Newsletter

It's a bit late going out, but here is the latest newsletter for Class 3. After a busy start to the half term with Book Week and Young Voices, we're now getting into our new topic, Tremors. We'll continue working on this after Easter - so we'll have plenty of time to fit in heaps of super work!

Homework will be going home later this week - I am flexible on the dates mentioned in the newsletter as I appreciate this is going out late for parents and children.

Looking forward to seeing lots of you next week for Parent's Evenings...

The Blue Abyss

Class 3 have enjoyed diving down into the oceans for our topic this half term! We kicked off the term with a poetry focus, where we produced some excellent descriptive poems about under the sea. This was followed with our class trip to The Deep in Hull, where we had a fantastic day exploring and finding out all about the marine life.
